BEAD CRIMPING PLIERS

The Bead Crimping Pliers is a unique, crimp-forming tool which forms a smooth unobtrusive crimp. It banishes forever the unsightly sharp edged crimp formed by conventional flattening methods. Using jewelry wire and standard "French" crimp beads or crimp tubes up to 3mm in diameter, it forms a finished crimp whose diameter is less than 2mm - smaller than the crimp itself.

If you examine the closed jaws of the Bead Crimping Pliers you will see two distinct openings, a kidney shaped one (E) and an oval one (F). The process of forming the crimp requires two steps - a crimping operation and a final rounding operation. These are carried out at two forming regions - the initial crimping station (E) and the final rounding station (F). Sadly there are several inferior quality "rip-offs" which are in violation of the patents and copyrights. Clearly, if the copy is being made in the States, the producer can be legally stopped. It is more difficult (and costly) if the manufacturer is offshore. However, it is now law that anyone knowingly importing and or selling these "rip-offs" is in violation of USPTO laws and is liable for damages. For your information, there is a note on identifying these copies in the "Tips and Notes" page.
